Summer Exams

Summer exams for 1st, 2nd and 5th year students begin on May 15th.  Students and parents are reminded that exam results will influence the class groupings that students are placed in next year.  It is essential that students commit to study and revision, as well as homework, from the very start of the new term.

Students are welcome to use the school library, which is open from 8.10 a.m. every morning and at lunch time every day. 

School Musical

HCS will stage the musical Grease in October 2012.  Auditions will be held once the summer exams have ended. 

Promoting Literacy and Numeracy

As part of the national campaign to promote literacy and numeracy, the school will focus this month on creating a text rich environment in classrooms and around the corridors by using notices and posters. 

The school library has been re-opened.  Students have access before and after school and during lunch time.   We hope that many of our students received gifts of books for Christmas and that they are enjoying reading them.
